Abstract
The success of mediation at the Banjarbaru Religious Court in 2021 is the highest success compared to other religious courts, this data continues to increase until the latest data is in 2023. The aim of this research is to analyze the success of mediation at the Banjarbaru Religious Court. This research is empirical legal research with a case approach. The results of this research show that strategies for successful mediation at the Banjarbaru Religious Court include resolving disputes through mediation using various approaches such as psychological approaches, spiritual approaches, utilizing communication skills and momentum, then using caucus techniques, and seeking partial mediation success. So, when the point of the petitum cannot be reached for peace then, at least other things related to the problem such as the consequences of divorce can be agreed on regarding child custody, idah maintenance, provision of mut’ah, or other agreements, so that success can be achieved. mediation at the Banjarbaru Religious Court since 2021 has had a much greater percentage of success compared to previous years.

Keberhasilan mediasi di Pengadilan Agama Banjarbaru pada tahun 2021 merupakan keberhasilan yang tertinggi dibandingkan pengadilan agama yang lain, data ini terus meningkat hinga data terakhir di tahun 2023. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis keberhasilan mediasi di Pengadilan Agama Banjarbaru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian hukum empiris dengan pendekatan kasus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi keberhasilan mediasi di Pengadilan Agama Banjarbaru di antaranya menyelesaikan sengketa melalui mediasi dengan menggunakan berbagai pendekatan seperti pendekatan psikologis, pendekatan spiritual, memanfaatkan kemampuan komunikasi dan momentum, kemudian menggunakan teknik kaukus, dan mengupayakan keberhasilan mediasi sebagian. Jadi, ketika pokok petitumnya tidak dapat diupayakan perdamaian maka, setidaknya hal-hal lain yang berhubungan dengan masalah tersebut seperti akibat-akibat perceraian yang dapat disepakati tentang hak asuh anak, nafkah idah, pemberian mut’ah, ataupun kesepakatan-kesepakatan lainnya, sehingga keberhasilan mediasi di Pengadilan Agama Banjarbaru sejak tahun 2021 memiliki persentase keberhasilan yang jauh lebih besar dibandingkan dengan tahun-tahun sebelumnya.
